Thirty Three
written by: Tim Gallagher

halfway from you to me
out on milepost 33
under a big oak tree
i broke down and sobbed
i saw a tomorrow alone
i saw a you without me

the future... when i'm 33
i don't wanna be
footloose, fancy free
i want to be wrapped up
in you and you in me

and 33 years from now
standing at winter's eve
i'll say with breath
aloft on the breeze
and a quick hand
to hand squeeze
marry me please

late fall bare tree
temp drops below 33
cold floor, bare feet
crackling log heat
i was twenty three
i fell in love with
you and you with me
