Cannon Fire

There is a lake just south of here
Where everything became quite clear
The how, the why, the Whom, the we
Sunflowers and trees, flowers and bees

Walking around together, side by side
Toward a future, together, yeah you and me
All the grand plans that we make
All the dreams we dare to dream

And even if the dreams come up short
I know it won't matter at all
Just remember that day at the fort
Out on the river with the cannon fire

Look at the artwork section under Fort Osage and you'll see some pictures of the fort, and the cannon fire.
