baby,
someday
you and me
yeah, we'll be
forever together
yup, together forever
and this gulf
between us now
the emotional
the physical
of apartness we feel
gone! gone in a second

"I do" repeated
And the kiss as though
one second was eternal
and the eternal gulf,
one second

and forever with you
being compressed into one second
is a picture so complex
so full, so complete
and amazingly detailed
and one second in
that second
being just another
second of
a compressed forever with you

and one in that one in forever
and another in that
one second of forever
and forever with you....
seems to be the best thing
yessir, the very best.
