Hole in my Heart
written by: Tim Gallagher

sounds in the air, and scents on the breeze
laughing from here to there, say pretty please
i don't deserve all the things God gives me
I don't, i know it's true, don't try to lie
trees at sunset, birds in flight
green grass, yellow dandylions
...
you
and here comes summer... just around the bend
and this year it's better, yeah, it's on the mend
'cause darlin, i've got a someone, i've got a you
yeah, a you shaped hole in my heart
and baby when you tie my shoes for me
baby for you, i fall completely apart
the smell of fresh cut grass in the yard
the sounds of little voices, the patter of little feet
off in the distance from where we sit now
yeah, off in our future (together is such a nice word)
a picture of us, just sitting at the curb
little ones running around, crying for us...
mommy! daddy! come play with us!
