I Do

Thick steel, thin threads, breezy clouds, "I do"
Coming around that corner, dressed up, look at you!
I love you, I do, I do, then we know forever is
Around that corner, dressed up, tailored, it fits!
It's spring time, little flowers growing up
What's that? I didn't mean to interrupt
Car? House? Kids? Clothes? Stuff? Money?
Let's just live it one day at a time, Honey
Life is what happens while we're just loving
Each other as best we can (psst summer is coming!)
And baby, I've been busy in the blacksmith shop forging
These thick steel bands together, becoming stronger
Just so i can make my two words last even longer
Cause baby, I do, means I do, and when I do doesn't
It means someone was relying on something that wasn't
Blacksmith bound, steel strong, whistling a song
Hammer pound, sweaty face, happy smile, happy eyes
And it's all because my love, I know to whom I belong
And so on that day, when the thin breezy clouds
The threads, the veil, the white, the lace
When all is obscured but your beautiful face
When I tell you I do, I do, I do, I do
I do
