The We We Knew

Standing on the tracks
My bags are packed
The train pulls away

Don't know what to do
Don't know where to go
Or what i'm gonna say
(I love you)

A coal burning train
With you on board
Headed east today

Where did it end
When did it start
What did I say?
(I love you)

No home with you
Things left undone
Nowhere to run

I told you it would
When it didn't work
I begged you to stay
(I love you)

And here I am alone
'Cause you're headed east home
What is left for me to say?
(I love you)

So I head back to the house
And try to forget it all
Give the horse some hay
(I love you)

Baby, I'm gonna
Saddle up my horse
Say goodbye to my dreams

Ride like the wind
Ride until it seems
Like I'm gonna die
(I love you)

I'm gonna die trying
To get back to you
And the we we knew

Tim
You're gonna find this funny, but I started writing this while looking at a magazine cover (it was an Internet industry magazine) that had a picture of a guy standing on the tracks as the train pulled away
