Silence

Silence ...
The waterfall of words dried up
As hard as I try to speak
Nothing comes out
My heart ripped in two
Too busy to speak
Too busy to live?
And all the words
I've been given to give
It's a crime to hold them in
Wrong to be silent
When the entire world
(A poor metaphor to use)
Is alight with love, and life
Not from within, not from love
Not from any poor manly excuse
But alight from God above
It's a commitment I know
Between my words and myself
And as much as I need them
They need me also
So I pick up my tattered heart
The one which has had trials
Hold it up to God above
Let Him wash it with His tears
I want so badly to speak
Words of comfort, words of fears
Sometimes I get so caught up
In living this life we're living
I forget that life is really about...
Giving
