Hero
written by: Tim Gallagher
1-10-2003

Hero is just a name i give
To one who has a life to live
Because every day given
Is a battlefield of will

Courage is just a word i use
For one who lights the fuse
Morning - I dress for work
You know I love you so

And we kiss as if
Nothing ever separates us
But today I will be king
Because of you and your kiss

Hero - not a word for me
All i'm doing is working
All those dads who tried
The ones who've arrived

Hero - a word far too small
With their back against the wall
Knowing when a smile is enough
And a frown is too much

And i, on the drive home
Waiting to hold my own
realize....

The line i walk
Not the work
Is where the battle
Begins to hurt

Tim, you have a very gripping writing style, it grabs ahold of you right where it hurts, and it grabs ahold of you right where it feels good. it get's better every time you write. I like it, keep it up
