The Covering Darkness
written by: Tim Gallagher

cloudy sky morning
but off to the north
blue sky, clouds afire
sun blazing through
and i'm on my way
going away from you
but i'll be home again
when the sun has gone
again

being away is the
hardest part, yeah
the hardest part
everything i do
baby, darling i do
you know i love you

and looking at the sky
i suddenly realize
how much i am Loved
and how much i love
Him who sits rightly
beside the throne of God
then begins the yearn
the more i think i know
the more i need to learn

hold my heart, still my tongue
O God, tell Your trumpter,
tell Your Son, the time has come
this world is covered in darkness
i feel it in my bones
O Lord, may Your Kingdom come
please topple fake kings
from atop their fake thrones
