Moon Men
written by: Tim Gallagher

Outside on the brown dry grass
I stand looking out at the moon
Yes, out not up
The moon is big down on the edge
Of the world, where it touches
Everything that's been made
Some by God's hands
Some by Man's...

Feet bare, toes touching the dry
Lifeless grass, like the moon dust
I'm told it's dead up there
I'm told it's dry
But i'm not sure they've been down here
Dry, dead, dusty here too
Sin in our hands, bad things to do

Moon men we are...
every single one of us
Dry dead and dusty
Dry bread crusty
Living water close by
Yeah, the River of life
Take a drink before you die

Written in one sitting. I started writing thinking to write about standing outside under the bright moon while thinking about nice things... but it ended up as you see. Enjoy? I'm not sure. Read, I hope you've drank, and if you haven't... go look up John 3:16 and Romans 3:23 on the bible lookup page.
